Process of chemical garden:

  1. Take some water and sodium silicate crystal in glassware and warm it with a spirit lamp, and thus make a solution.
  2. Now add some white stones to the solution.
  3. When the glassware will be cold enough, add three of each item (sulfate crystal, Ferrus sulfate crystal, ferric sulfate crystal, zinc sulfate crystal, Nickle sulfate crystal, cobalt sulfate crystal to the solution.
  4. Keep the glassware for more than half-hour.
  5. After that, you will see the salts become trees in the glassware.
  6. Thus the chemical garden can be produced.

Explanation of how the chemical garden forms:

processes of become the tree of all salts are same, So explaining one is enough, Let’s do it for copper sulfate. Copper sulfate is a blue crystal, Reaction between copper sulfate and sodium silicate creates an insoluble blue compound “copper silicate”. Just after creating it begins to be stored on the copper sulfate. This was the explanation of how the colorful compounds appear, but how do the trees create? The pressure of water is more on two sides than on the top of the glassware. That’s why the new-born crystals start to go up, similarly, other crystals also are created and go up and that’s how the chemical garden made in our room.
